Files with extension .nb are Mathematica "notebooks". To use them you need the Mathematica program (available at public OIT labs); just to read them you may use the free MathReader program.

Files with extension .pdf require the Adobe Reader plugin for your browser. This plugin is installed at UMASTR. You can download the Adobe Reader plugin from the Adobe web site. In case of trouble, see my page on help with .pdf files.
