Re-scheduling the final

All requests for rescheduling the M127 Final Exam should be e-mailed to rudvalis@math.umass.edu
and should include:

1) Student Name,

2) SPIRE ID#

3) Section #

4) The reason for requesting a rescheduled Final Exam.

Although such requests are sometimes (albeit rarely) granted there should not be any EXPECTATION on the part of the person making such a request that it will be granted. In particular, it is our policy that travel plans and convenience are NOT VALID REASONS for rescheduling this final.

According to university regulations we ARE REQUIRED to reschedule a final exam if one of the following things occurs:

1) The student has two exams at the same time. In such cases, the student MUST go to the registrar's office to pick up and deliver to us a form which specifies which of the two exams must be rescheduled. In cases where it is the M127 exam that must be rescheduled Prof. Rudvalis will check with the other instrUctor to make sure they will actually be giving
their exam at the scheduled time. If not, Prof. Rudvalis would  inform the student that they MUST take the M127 exam at the originally scheduled time.

2) The student has thRee exams scheduled on the same day and ours is the MIDDLE ONE of the three. In such cases it is up to the student to REQUEST that our exam be rescheduled and if such a request is made
we are required to honor it provided the other two exams will actually be given at their originally scheduled times. Again, in such cases Prof. Rudvalis will ALWAYS check with the other two instructors to make sure they will actually give their exams at the scheduled times. If not, Prof. Rudvalis will inform the student that they MUST take the M127 exam at the originally scheduled time.
