Calculator: Each student is expected to have and use a Texas Instruments
TI-86 or TI-89 (or similar) calculator.
Exams (80%): There will be 4 exams: 3 midterms and a final, all given and graded in common and each worth 20% of the course grade (combining for a total of 80%).
Exam 1: October 2, Tuesday, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Location: Marcus 131(Sections B, D, J: Wong and Beers), Mahar 108(Sections A, E, F, G, I, K: Whitaker, Farelli, Coughlan and Duanmu),
Goessman 151(Section C: Chong)
Exam 2: October 23, Tuesday, 7:00-8:30PM.
Location: Totman Gym.
Exam 3: November 14, Wednesday, 7:00-8:30PM.
Location: Totman Gym.
Final Exam: December 14, Friday, 10:30AM.
Location: Boyden Gym.
Make-ups will not be given to accommodate
travel plans.
Instructor's Grade (20%): Each instructor will determine a 20%
of the student's grade based on the student's performance in the class
(e.g., in quizzes, homeworks, class attendance and participation).

The score on each of the five relevant parts (Exams 1, 2 and 3, Final Exam and Instructor's Grade) will be scaled to the 0-100 scale. The numbers will be added and divided by 5. The resulting average will determine the course grade according to the scheme mentioned above.
Students needing special exam accomodation must present documentation from Disability Services to their instructor no later than two weeks before the exam.
