Do 13, and 10 (that is, all of the) problems.
Quiz 9: Thursday, November 21. It will be on Sections 12,13,14, and 15.
Do 8,8,7,7 problems.
Quiz 8: Thursday, November 14. It will be on Sections 11 and 18.
Do 12, and 11 (that is, all of the) problems.
Quiz 7: Thursday, November 7. It will be on Section 9c-9n and Section 10.
Do 6, 19.
Quiz 6: Thursday, October 31. It will be on Sections 8 and Section 9a-9h.
Do 10, 10, 10.
Quiz 5: Thursday, October 24. It will be on Section 7. Do 9, 9, 7, 5
problems.
Quiz 4: Thursday, October 3. It will be on Section 5. Do 14, 14, 2 problems.
Turn in fair questionnaire ``what would you keep/change for next year's
fair? write something you learned at presentation and Q&A that convinces me you attended." please turn in hard copy, not electronic.
Quiz 3: Thursday, September 26. It will be on Section 4.
Do 6,5,5,5,5,4 problems.
HW and Quiz 2: Thursday, September 19. It will be on Section 3.
Quiz 1: POSTPONED (as is HW 1) UNTIL TUESDAY SEPT 17.
Thursday, September 12. It will be on Sections 1 and 2. Like
with every class, bring your calculator. The quiz will be on ``the first 30 problems" of the sections covered.
This means in this case:
the first 6 problems of section 1a(i)-1a(v),
first 6 problems of sections 1a(vi)-1a(ix),
first 6 problems of sections 1b-1f,
first 6 problems of section 1h,
and first 6 problems of sections 2a-2b.
(Note 30=6+6+6+6+6.) If you want to eligible for the grade bump, you must turn in variations (with modified numbers)
of these 30 problems at the beginning of class.
