Math 611: Graduate Algebra.
Math 797W: Algebraic Geometry
Honors 391H: What is research in theoretical mathematics?
I believe that all students have the potential and ability to succeed in my courses, although access and exposure to mathematics and time to interact with the material is not equitably distributed. I aspire to meet all of my students where they are and provide the resources they need to be successful, recognizing that different students may need different levels of support. My office hours will be posted on this page when the semester begins and I encourage all of my students, past and present, to stop by.
I believe in Federico Ardila's axioms:
Axiom 1. Mathematical potential is distributed equally among different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
Axiom 2. Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences.
Axiom 3. Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
Axiom 4. Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
